EMJ Global Tuition is a UK based tutoring company, founded in 2022, with the aim of providing quality online and face-to-face tuition for students from Year 1 to Year 11 in the UK and internationally.
The company was set up by Emma and Marc Johnson, who have over 40 years’ combined experience of delivering the primary and secondary National Curriculum for England and Wales, in both the UK and at international schools in the Middle East.
We provide 1:1 and small group tuition both face-face and online. Sessions are typically 45 minutes or 1 hour in length, in line with the National Curriculum requirements and are carefully tailored towards each individual student or group.
Online sessions are delivered via Zoom or Google Meet, utilising a range of technology to support individual progress. Students are encouraged to participate interactively through the use of online whiteboards, facilitating dialogue and live feedback between tutors and learners.
Face-to-face sessions are delivered at our home location, incorporating a range of practical and technological resources to enhance learning opportunities, engage and motivate the students.

Primary Teacher
Mrs Johnson has over 18 years’ experience of teaching and leading across the primary phase, in both the UK and internationally. She has been involved in the leadership of maths for over 12 years, including in her most recent role as Deputy Head of Primary, at a British international school in Qatar, where she was responsible for leading assessment and the curriculum across the school. Mrs Johnson is also a maths content writer; writing blogs and creating resources to support both parents and teachers. In addition to this, she also makes maths videos and her Maths 4 Kids facebook page and YouTube channel have a combined following of over 72,000 parents and teachers.

Secondary Teacher
Mr Johnson has over 24 years’ experience of teaching and leading in both the UK and more recently internationally at a British curriculum secondary school in Qatar. In both countries, Mr Johnson has worked as Head of Sixth Form and taught Mathematics from Years 7-11, up to GCSE/IGCSE level.
Through both his academic and pastoral roles, Mr Johnson has always been motivated in providing opportunities for all students to achieve their best in overcoming any barriers to their studies. Where students find elements of Mathematics challenging, Mr Johnson provides differentiated activities and targeted questioning to enhance student confidence in effectively applying knowledge and understanding to multiple topic areas with growing independence. Focused, individual support is utilised, where any students require consolidation to further their progress in Mathematics.

Secondary Teacher
Mr Thomas is a dynamic and engaging secondary school Maths Specialist, who is in his 16th year of teaching. He has a proven track record of achieving excellent results alongside a great style of teaching to enable the progress of all students!
Mr Thomas is energetic, results focused & has the ability to make even the most difficult topics easy to understand. Differentiation is used for students of different abilities in his small group sessions and Mr Thomas has a unique style to engage students and increase their subject confidence.

Primary Teacher
Mr Eastes is a successful former Deputy Headteacher and teacher with over 12 years teaching experience. His practice focuses on academic success going hand-in-hand with raising self-esteem and confidence as his mantra is that ‘happy children make happy learners’. With years of experience in both Year 2 and Year 6 classes and leading whole school initiatives to improve progress and close the gaps in learning, Mr Eastes is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher and this transcends into his private tuition too. Sessions are engaging, lively and enjoyable and always bespoke to the needs of the tutees and their own progression pace. Within sessions there is always a real desire to see the ‘lightbulb moments’ and ensure any barriers are broken down and children make accelerated progress.
Outside of tuition, Mr Eastes is a teaching author alongside his friend and former colleague as part of the ‘Dynamic Deputies’ as well as running their own successful teaching podcast and creating many quality teaching resources used both in classrooms nationally and internationally.

She is an enthusiastic and passionate English teacher, with a strong background in raising attainment and progress levels in students through her energetic and focused lessons, unique essay and response structures, examiner tips and precision teaching. Mrs Parveen ensures every student has the opportunity to meet and exceed their expectations through being taught higher-level content and analysis in an accessible and exciting manner.
Mrs Parveen also specialises in training new and existing teachers and ‘Head of Departments’ (both nationally and internationally) and has successfully coached and mentored English departments in rapidly improving their results. As an English curriculum expert, Mrs Parveen has guided schools on rewriting their English curriculum to ensure all students, in every year group, make great progress in all areas of their English learning through a rigorous and challenging spiral curriculum, leading to student success overall.
